Didn't the All-Star game matter back in 1970 when Pete Rose ruined Ray Fosse's career?



The All-Star Game is enough of a gimmick in and of itself.  Here's hoping that when Derrick Hall becomes the next MLB Commissioner, he throws out the asinine gimmick of having the All-Star Game determine home field advantage in the World Series.

Still, I have seen worse slides into home...
