Congratulations Matt and Zac!

Congratulations Matt and Zac!

For the first time ever, there are co-champions of the PFBL.  The 2015 PFBL crown goes to both Pancakes & Hammers and Bizarro Royals.  Undeniably, these two owners combined to form what was hands down the best roster in the league.  Though nearly all other owners stayed competitive to the end, Matt and Zac's team was able to pull away as September progressed.  Now that all the dust has settled, only those two stand triumphant.

The first season of 8-team competition in the PFBL was truly historic.  Not only did it end with the first ever co-championship, but Bizarro Royals is now the first team to win back-to-back championships as well.  Also new this year, 25-man rosters and an innings limit of 1650 IP have ushered in a new "fantasy baseball steroid era" in the PFBL, as a whopping half of the league eclipsed 8106.33 points, the previous record set by Bo Knows in 2011.  But even with the increased scoring, the pivotal moment of the 2015 campaign came in the early morning hours of July 9th, when Bizarro Royals and Pancakes & Hammers managed to pull off an innovative "roster dump trade" strategy.  This controversial strategy was attempted by two other owners at the trade deadline, but it amounted to too little too late.  There was just no stopping the combined power of Matt and Zac.

And as they enjoy sharing the podium, the rest of the league now turns their attention to the more competitive PFFL.  May the best team(s) win!

Clint's Not Here

So the other day I called 303-Rockies to buy some parking passes and this is what my caller id app showed:

Why did the moose cross the road?

To go fetch the HR ball.

Security must be getting pretty lax at Royals Stadium. Is that a moose antler in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

PFBL Standings 7/10/15

I like how this looks (aside from the joke of a trade that just went through, of course).

Eric Byrnes: Model Father

With Father's Day fast approaching, there's nothing that says father-son bonding like spending time at the ballpark. Eric Byrnes demonstrates his sacrificial love here - willing to sacrifice his body and throw his son out of the way to catch a foul ball.

Unless you're this guy, catching a ball at a Major League Game is a rarity I guess sometimes the ball just bounces your direction, doesn't it Eric?

Everything Bagel can do ANYthing!

Entering play this week, no catcher has amassed more points in the PFBL than Stephen Vogt.  Apparently he fancies himself a comedian as well:

The PFBL Commish makes his picks!

Our own PFBL Commissioner has posted his full seven round Denver Broncos mock draft over at Mile High Report.  Check it out to see whether or not there is an appearance from this dude:

My initial 2015 All-Star ballot

All-Star voting is live online.  My first ballot--which as always is comprised both of players I think are deserving and players I like--is as follows:

I wish that I could select other position players to be the DH.  If that were the case, my 3B in the AL would be Adrián Beltré and Mike Moustakas would be the DH.
