Congratulations Matt and Zac!
For the first time ever, there are co-champions of the PFBL. The 2015 PFBL crown goes to both Pancakes & Hammers and Bizarro Royals. Undeniably, these two owners combined to form what was hands down the best roster in the league. Though nearly all other owners stayed competitive to the end, Matt and Zac's team was able to pull away as September progressed. Now that all the dust has settled, only those two stand triumphant.
The first season of 8-team competition in the PFBL was truly historic. Not only did it end with the first ever co-championship, but Bizarro Royals is now the first team to win back-to-back championships as well. Also new this year, 25-man rosters and an innings limit of 1650 IP have ushered in a new "fantasy baseball steroid era" in the PFBL, as a whopping half of the league eclipsed 8106.33 points, the previous record set by Bo Knows in 2011. But even with the increased scoring, the pivotal moment of the 2015 campaign came in the early morning hours of July 9th, when Bizarro Royals and Pancakes & Hammers managed to pull off an innovative "roster dump trade" strategy. This controversial strategy was attempted by two other owners at the trade deadline, but it amounted to too little too late. There was just no stopping the combined power of Matt and Zac.
And as they enjoy sharing the podium, the rest of the league now turns their attention to the more competitive PFFL. May the best team(s) win!
