Seriously, that's my 1st half MVP, narrowly edging out Edwin Encarnación.  He takes the award, as he leads all of baseball with the most of these:

    So did he give Michael, er Derek Jeter a pipe ball to jack out of the park for hit number 3000?

    I don't think that a 3-2 breaking ball counts as a pipe ball. Price said he didn't want to be the one to give up hit #3000 to him: http://m.mlb.com/video/v16791713
