With Father's Day fast approaching, there's nothing that says father-son bonding like spending time at the ballpark. Eric Byrnes demonstrates his sacrificial love here - willing to sacrifice his body and throw his son out of the way to catch a foul ball.
Unless you're this guy, catching a ball at a Major League Game is a rarity I guess sometimes the ball just bounces your direction, doesn't it Eric?
Eric Byrnes is classic. As a Rockies Fan, I've got a special place in my heart for Eric Byrnes, and a special place on my wall - in the form of a picture of him face down in the dirt following the last out of game 4 of the NLCS.
Although I've realized over the years perhaps I'm more of a baseball fan than I am a Rockies fan or Cardinals fan, seeing as I have an Eric Byrnes signed ball in my trophy case, right next to my Tulo signed ball.
