Eric Byrnes likes the DC Nats! Then again, Byrnsie has never been known to avoid risks.
While this might be the most memorable Byrnsie blunder, I actually thought of this one first:
That is Byrnes almost robbing Troy Tulowitzki of a walkoff double in this game. The ball hit Byrnsie on the wrist and, with me watching on from the 300s level above first base, the Rockies won their first game of 2007. Had Byrnsie caught that ball, the Rockies (1) would have had one fewer win in 2007, (2) would not have tied the San Diego Madres for the wild card, and (3) would not have won the National League Pennant. I was there for the Rox' first win in 2007. I was also there for their final loss in 2007. It was a magical season.
Ah, nostalgia.
