And it's too late for the Phillies to change their names to the Fillies in hopes of garnering any luck associated with the Chinese zodiac. However, it's not too late to publish my annual prognostications.

2014 MLB Predictions: Why Not?

As always, my predictions are about 33% who I think will win, 33% who I want to win, and 33% teams I of which I am fond.  Here goes nothing:

The MLB regular season is upon us!

Technically it begins tomorrow in Australia, and the Aussies have made a number of preparations, not the least of which is converting the Sydney Cricket Ground into a ballfield:

Sky Sox home games at Security Service Field feature a wide variety of concession options, my favorite of which is fifty cent hot dogs on Sunday.  My second favorite (or at least top five) would be the footlong corn dogs they sell.  I mean come on, where else can you buy a footlong corn dog???

The hat you want for the 2014 baseball season

Baseball season is here!  Spring training games are well underway.  Your league's fantasy draft has taken place.  Yes, it's only a matter of time before you are at the ballpark yourself, enjoying an early season game while craving something to drink since you have eaten too many salted in shell peanuts.
